GABBARD, Rose B. age 82 of Hamilton died late Monday evening, August 23, 2010, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 14, 1928, the daughter of Nicholas and Teresa (Ricci) Digonno, and was a 1945 graduate of Hamilton High School. On February 16, 1950, in St. Mary Church she married Albert Gabbard and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2000. Rose had worked at Wolpert's Café for twenty-three years, from 1979-2002.

Survivors include her two children, Patty (Mark) Trauthwein of Jacksonville, FL, and Nick (Susan) Gabbard of Hamilton, OH; four grandchildren, Kathy (Matt) Reimer, Donny Trauthwein, all of Jacksonville, Florida, Sarah and Kelly Gabbard, of Hamilton; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Delaney Reimer; a brother, Tony Digonno; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Krall and the ICU staff of Fort Hamilton Hospital for the excellent care they provided.

Besides her husband, Albert, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Nick, John, and Ted Digonno; three sisters, Yolanda Peck, Molly Mary Minton, and Sue Gardner.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.
