ISGRO, Russell J. age 81 of Hamilton died Saturday, February, 13, 2010, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton on October 3, 1928, the son of Carmello and Mary (Saia) Isgro and served in the United States Army from 1947-1950. On October 2, 1954 in Liberty, Indiana, he married Diane C. Shepard, and she preceded him in death on April 12, 1994. Russell worked as a supervisor for the Republican Press for thirty-one years retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Ann Church, and also was a member of the Italian American Society for more than fifty years.
Survivors include three children, Russell (Marlisa) Isgro Jr. of Cincinnati, Randy (Ann Ybarra) Isgro, and Tina (Larry) Coomer, both of Hamilton; nine grandchildren, Joey, Angela, Mario, Tony, Nikki, Andrew, Alexandria, Zachary, and Luke; eight great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Diane, he was also preceded in death by five brothers, Angelo, Felix, Santino, Jack, and Sam Isgro; and a sister, Carmella Minelli.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30 am Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Thursday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Stephen Mondiek celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Wednesday in the funeral home. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
