MIGNERY, Ruth Marie , Age 77, of Fairfield, Ohio died at "3:00 p.m." on Tuesday at Sunrise Hospice Care in Hamilton, Ohio. She was born October 24th, 1928 in Hamilton, Ohio the daughter of Michael Aloysius and Rose Mary (Vogt) Riegert.
She was educated in the St. Ann Elementary School and graduated from Notre Dame High School in the class of 1946.
She worked for Cincinnati Bell, Hamilton Foundry, Butler County Board of Elections, and spending much of her life being a full time mother providing for her 6 children.
She married Chuck Mignery at St. Ann's Catholic Church on June 7th 1947. She was a founding member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the City of Fairfield living at the same address since 1953.
She is survived by her husband Charles (Chuck) Mignery of Fairfield, six children, Michael (Mary Jo) of Hanover Township, Edward (Christine) of Xenia, Ohio, Mary Lee Dixon of Fairfield Township, Steven (Debbie) of Hamilton, Charles (Michelle) of Hamilton, and Thomas (Kathy) of Columbus, Ohio.
Ruth was blessed with 21 grandchildren, Ben Mignery, Sarah (Mignery) Daddabbo, Mark Mignery, Anna Marie (Mignery) Ressler, Kate Mignery, Allison Mignery, Alex Mignery, Andy Mignery, Amanda (Dixon) Pate, Beth Dixon, Kellie (Mignery) McGeorge, Lisa Mignery, Jillian Mignery, Rosemary Mignery, Grace Mignery, James Mignery, Patrick Mignery, Frances Mignery (deceased), Matt Mignery, Jack Mignery and Will Mignery. Ruth has five great grandchildren, Olivia McGeorge, Brandon McGeorge, Sophia Mignery, Elaina Daddabbo, and Baby Pate.
Ruth is also survived by her brother Michael (Lori) Riegert, sister Helen (Gene) Beer, brother Edward (Dee) Riegert, sister Rosemary (Jim) Schindler, sister Elizabeth (Lew) Kunzler, brother William (Grace) Riegert, and sister Joan Leugers. She is also survived by sister in laws Maggie Riegert, Helen Cahalane, Barbara Riegert and brother in law Joe Spadafora. Ruth has over 125 nephews and nieces.
Ruth was preceded in death by her grandparents Joseph and Clara (Holbrock) Vogt, Aloysius and Rosa (Gstyr) Riegert, parents, Michael Aloysius Riegert and Rose Mary (Vogt) Riegert, brothers Richard Riegert and David Riegert, brother in laws Dick Wolf, Dan Brosius, Jim Cunningham, Bob Cahalane, Jimmy Mignerey, sisters in law Helen Mignerey, Ruth Cunningham, and Marjorie Spadafora, and a granddaughter Frances Mignery.
Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to those who knew her. She never met anyone she could not talk with. She was a woman who lived her Catholic faith by her loving example. She was faithfully married for 58 years to Chuck, gave many hours of time to the Sojourners program, Knights of Columbus #968 Auxiliary charities and programs, Right to Life programs, Sacred Heart Church, Notre Dame Alumni Association and in caring for the elderly.
Ruth and Chuck, her husband, were able to travel widely in the states, visiting 49 states, loved visiting our many National Parks and playing golf after the age of fifty.The family wants to sincerely thank her caretakers for their loving care shown to Ruth. Among the many were: Dr. Richard Zettler her lifelong physician, Dr. Paula Weisenberger, Dr. Ron Schneider, the Hospice program, and the many family members and friends who visited often and prayed for her.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Saturday, in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM Saturday, in Sacred Heart Church. Visitation will be from 5-8:00PM Friday in the funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
