MUSKOPF, Ruth Hester died November 11, 2015, at the Hospice of Cincinnati In Patient Care Center in Blue Ash. She was 94 years old. Ruth was the daughter of Thomas Hester and Cecelia Keller Hester and one of nine children. Born October 22, 1921, she graduated from Fairfield High School in 1939. She lived her entire life on River Road in Fairfield, and married Ellis Reese Muskopf in June 1943. A founding member of Sacred Heart Church, Ruth loved the Lord in her life and was a faithful volunteer at Sacred Heart, which included making baptismal gowns for thousands of children there. Ruth also loved being a farmer's wife, and kept the books for Ellis over 50 years of farming.
Ruth is survived by her sister, Jeanine (Steve) Bruner of Spring, Texas; her daughters, Ann (Kevin) Henry of Lexington, Kentucky and Nancy R. Helm of Cincinnati, Ohio; two grandsons, Adam R. Helm and Jacob A. Helm of Cincinnati; and Marju (Dave) Ragone of Ashburn, Virginia; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ellis R. Muskopf, grandson Andrew S. Helm, four brothers Robert Hester, Gordon Hester, Richard Hester and Ralph Hester and sisters Irma Armstead, Marion Fox and Carol Botos.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception in the Church parish hall. Private burial at St. Mary's Cemetery will occur later. Private family visitation will be at Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Society of the Sacred Heart Parish or The Hospice of Cincinnati, 1010 Eaton Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
