REEF, Ruxie M. (Bowers), age 79 of Fairfield, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in Hospice of Hamilton in Sunrise Assisted Living Center. She was born in Brush Creek, Kentucky on July 4, 1928 the daughter of William and Lulu (Durham) Chasteen. On October 17, 1946 in St. Ann Church she married Charles M. Bowers and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1964.

Survivors include eight children, Sheryl (Bruce) Neal, Columbus, Ohio, Charles M. (Diana) Bowers Jr. of Middletown, Ohio, Lester (Donna) Bowers of Camden, Ohio, Cecil Bowers of Georgetown, Ohio, Catherine (Michael) Moon, and Bill Bowers, both of Hamilton, Ohio, Raymond M. (Sandra) Bowers, and Michael Bowers, both of Fairfield, Ohio; nineteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Chasteen.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday in St. Stephen Cemetery, with Fr. Stephen Mondiek officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hamilton. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
