GOINS, Sarah E. age 76 of Hamilton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday October 23, 2007 with her family by her side. Sarah was a loving wife, mother and mamaw.
The eighth of nine children she was born April 28, 1931 to Joe & Nancy (Jackson) Smith in Bell County, Kentucky. She married Jasper Goins in Clay County Kentucky on April 27, 1947. They celebrated their 60th Anniversary this past April.
Sarah has been a member of Zion United Baptist church for many years. She worked 15 years at Fort Hamilton Hospital.
Survivors include her husband Jasper (Red) Goins; sons Tom (Iris) Goins, Fred (Donna) Goins, Daughter Debbie (Bobby) Rose. Granddaughters Tammy (Mark) Lykins, Tina (Donnie) Rardon, Amy (Tim) Ritzie. Grandsons Mark (Chris) Thompson, Ben (Kelly) Thompson, Larry Goins, Fred Jr. (Sarah) Goins, Rodney (Susan) Goins, Tommy (Jenni) Goins, John (Crystal) Scott, Jayson (Erica) Scott. Thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. Brother Paul (Bessie) Smith, daughter- in-law Janet Goins, sisters-in-law Kathleen Smith, Juanita Goins, Edith Goins, Emma Goins, Nora Goins, numerous nieces and nephews who were all very special to her, and special friends Ruth Drake, Jackie Snyder, and Katherine Jones. Pallbearers will be Sarah's grandsons.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, daughters Irene Goins, Carolyn Thompson, son Orville Goins, her brothers Joe (Louise) Smith, Charles (Delores) Smith, Harold Smith, Eugene Smith, Daniel Smith, sisters Frances (Ben) Webb, Irene (Saul) Begley, and son-in-law Johnny Scott.
The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care Sarah received and the kindness shown to our family from all the staff at Hospice of Hamilton, and to Dr. Crane for his care and comforting words.
We'd also like to express a sincere Thank you to our church families and friends for your prayers, visits, cards, and flowers, your thoughtfulness is appreciated.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Friday in Zettler Funeral home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be from12noon-3:00pm Friday at the funeral. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com home.
