Obituary

HOLMAN, Shirley, F., age 71 of Fairfield, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in Hospice of Hamilton in Sunrise Assisted Living Center. She was born in California on October 23, 1935, the daughter of Edward and Verta (Maybury) Rommes and was a 1954 Graduate of Notre Dame High School. She married Lewis Holman in 1971 and he preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Holman had worked as a key punch operator at Ohio Casualty and later for Avon, retiring from Kroger, as a cashier. She enjoyed card clubs, bingo, and meetings with Notre Dame Alumni.

Survivors include three sisters, Janice (Ron) Koska, of Corrigan, TX, Sharon (Robert) Broshear, of Hamilton, and Betty (Donald) Black, of Fairfield; a step daughter, Mary Sue (Jim) Boggs, of Hamilton; a brother-in-law, Bob Yelton.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Yelton.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday in Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Rd. Fairfield, Ohio, with Rev. Larry Tharp officiating. Friends may call from 10-11:00 am Friday in the Church foyer. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hamilton, P.O. box 633597, Cinn., OH 45263.
