Obituary

Stanley Clark age 85 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away on September 30, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred (Nolan), parents George and Evelyn (Lagedrost) Clark. He is survived by 2 sisters, Marcella (Dave) and Marie (Tom) and a brother Earl (Maude). Stan enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January 1944 and served on a Destroyer as a signalman. He was honorably discharged in April 1946. He received 1 Bronze Star, 2 Silver Stars and other medals for the occupation of the Philippines' and Japan. In August 1946 he married Mildred (Nolan) and was blessed with 2 children Stephen (Bonnie) and Michele (Jim). He attended Miami University and retired after 41 years of service from Champion International Corporation where he was an Accountant. During his last 12 years at Champion before his retirement, he was promoted to Senior Auditor, auditing Champions Mills and subsidiaries throughout the world. He was a member of St. Ann Church, a life member of The Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 1069, The American Legion, Champion Old Timers and Senior Citizens of Hamilton. Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by Mass of a Christian Burial at 10:00am Wednesday in St. Ann Church, followed by entombment in St. Stephen Mausoleum.
