Stanley J. "Skip" Kalkhof Jr. age 66 of Fairfield Township, Ohio passed away Wednesday December 6, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on July 30, 1957 the son of Stanley J. Sr. and Mary Magdalen (Kosse) Kalkhof. Skip attended St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Grade School and St. Xavier High School of Louisville. He graduated from the University of Louisville where he received a full scholarship for being a Team Manager for the Louisville Cardinals basketball team. On May 26, 1990, at St. Julie Billiart, he married Marirose Curl.
An active member of St. Julie Billiart Parish, Skip was a Eucharistic Minister and an Usher/Greeter at Mass. Skip worked in sales for 25 years for pharmaceutical companies. He later worked for Louisville Metro Animal Services as a Business Administration Coordinator. He enjoyed coaching his kids in grade school sports like basketball and baseball. His favorite hobby was watching and attending Louisville Cardinal Basketball and Football games. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Baxter J. Kalkhof.
Survivors include his wife, Marirose; three children, Stephen J. Heffernan, Wes J. Kalkhof and Trisha M. Kalkhof (Future son-in-law, Caleb Wuest) all of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Joseph, Kiera, Karly, and Andi; two sisters Barbara Kalkhof and Martha (Mike) Hartman; numerous nieces and nephews; and his brother and sister in laws Rich (Julie) Curl, Connie (Paul) Volker, and Joe (Gayle) Curl.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his father-in-law, John Curl.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 2:30PM Thursday December 14, 2023 in St. Julie Billiart Church 224 Dayton Street Hamilton, OH 45011. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30PM Thursday in the church. Zettler Funeral Home serving the family. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
