SCHUTTE, Thelma Marie age 83 of Fairfield passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 19, 1929, the daughter of Arch and Helen (Reichert) Harmon, and was a 1947 graduate of Notre Dame High School. On January 23, 1954, in St. Mary Church in Hamilton, she was married to her devoted husband Richard Schutte. Mrs. Schutte was employed at the Central Motor Co. in Hamilton. She was a charter member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Fairfield. Thelma and Richard had six children, and her interest focused on their children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family

Survivors include her husband, Richard; four daughters, Diane (Doug) Hodapp of Beavercreek, Theresa (Greg) Dahlem of Cincinnati, Donna (Joseph) Lackney of Akron, and Nancy (Mark) Curry of Cincinnati; eleven grandchildren, Michael, Tim and Chris Hodapp, Laura Hall, Justin and Caroline Dahlem, Lisa and Anne Lackney, Kathryn and Erin Curry, and Kyna Wilson; three great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Mark David and Gregory Richard Schutte; five brothers, Donald, Clifford, Frank, Leroy and Robert Harmon; six sisters, Helen Bonekowski, Loretta Kennedy, Dorothy Harmon, Joan Gosmeyer, Irma DeFazio, and Ruth Wagner.

Prayers will be offered at 10:30 am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 am Wednesday in the funeral home.
