Obituary

PAPROSKI, Theodore Francis passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Grace Healthcare Nursing Home in Tucker, Georgia. He was born December 15, 1926, in Hamilton, Ohio. He married Mary Jean Mainous, also of Hamilton, in 1948. They remained in Hamilton until moving with their children to Atlanta, Georgia in 1966. Theodore served in the US Navy near the end of World War II and also in the Army Reserves, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel in 1986. After earning a degree in engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1960, he worked as a civil engineer, and later as a sales representative for Armco Steel Company until his retirement in 1985. A devout Catholic, he remained a proud member of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society.

Theodore is preceded in death by his wife Mary, mother Stella, father Joseph, and brother Joseph. He leaves behind a large family of six children and their spouses: Karen and Robert Might (Atlanta, GA), Susan Paproski and Terry Kelch (Columbus, IN), Teddi Ann and Danny Ashcraft (Seymour, IN) James Paproski (Atlanta, GA), Stephen Paproski (Atlanta, GA), and Michael and Laurie Paproski (Atlanta, GA); thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren: Jon Thil (Brittany, Nicholas, and Audrey), Lori Hamilton (William and Cole), Jennifer Colatosti, Brian Paproski (Jenna, Luke, and Cort), Robert Paproski, John Colatosti (John Tanner, Teresa, James Alexander, Leo, and Shawn), Danielle Ashcraft, Matthew Ashcraft (Hudson and Madison), Melissa Esterline (Carson), Julie Paproski, Hannah Paproski, and Kevin Paproski; and a great-granddaughter due to join the family in July.

The son of Polish immigrants who grew up poor, Theodore's children and grandchildren have gone on to become: a registered nurse, Radiology technician and professor, librarian, tax examiner, retail manager, manager/master electrician, real estate sales manager, musical instrument craftsman, English professor, master electrician, master HVAC technician, industrial sales manager, elementary school teacher, robotics engineer, bank customer service representative, graduate school student studying speech language pathology, and college students of nursing and health services. His legacy will continue to live not only in what his family has achieved thanks to his hard work and sacrifice, but also, and mostly, in their strong love and close-knit bonds for which he and his late wife laid the foundation.

Prayers will be offered at 10:30am Friday, April 6, 2018, in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am Friday in St. Ann Church with Fr.
