FONTAINE, Therese M. "Tess" age 75 of Hamilton, died Friday, February 27, 2009 in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 18, 1933 the daughter of Theodore and Mary (Martin) Kroeger and was a 1951 graduate of Notre Dame High School. On August 14, 1953, in St. Ann Church, she married Frank E. Fontaine. She was a member of St. Ann Church, where she attended Mass regularly, and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. A member of the D.A.V. and K of C Auxiliaries, she also enjoyed playing cards, bowling and time spent with friends at Grand Vic and card clubs.

Survivors include her husband, Frank; seven children, Mary Jo (Pryce) Moore, James Fontaine, Rita Fontaine, Frank (Tammara) Fontaine, Donald (Connie) Fontaine, Ted (Libby) Fontaine, Tess Fontaine; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Rita Schneider; sisters-in-law, Elsa Kroeger, Ethel Kroeger, Carolyn Fontaine, Mary Jo Shannon; Brothers-in-law, John J. ( Mary Jones) Fontaine, Tom (Janet Leach) Fontaine; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by six brothers, Joseph, Paul, Francis, George, Ted, and Martin Kroeger; three sisters, Hilda Ziegler, Thelma Gersbach, and Mary Holmes; a brother-in-law, James Fontaine

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Tuesday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Stephen Mondiek celebrant. Visitation will be from 4-8:00pm Monday in the funeral home. Entombment will be in St. Stephen Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to St. Ann Church.
