EICHHOLD, Thomas H. age 59 of Hamilton died Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 7, 1950, the son of John O. and Elaine M. (Beck) Eichhold. He was a 1968 graduate of Badin High School, received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati, and then received a M.B.A. at Xavier University. On September 21, 1973, in Sacred Heart Church, he married Mary K. Vilkoski. Tom worked as a research scientist for Proctor and Gamble for thirty three years retiring in 2006. He was a member of St. Ann Church and Knights of Columbus Father Butler Council.
Survivors include his wife Mary; his father, Jake Eichhold; father and mother-in-law, John and Bertha Vilkoski; eight children, Tillie (Michael) Woods, Rachel, Nick, Ann , Jonathan, Greg, Theresa, and Kathryn Eichhold; five grandchildren, Zachary, Erin, Lauren, Nicholas, and Claire Woods; three brothers, John E., Jim (Becki), and George Eichhold; three sisters, Mary Lou (Michael) Sanders, Ann Rulon, and Jean (Clyde) Carter; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine "Becky" Eichhold, and grandmother, Matilda Beck.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Tuesday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Stephen Mondiek celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm Monday in the funeral home.
