Schneider, Thomas E. age 84 of Fairfield passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Majestic Care of Fairfield. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on September 8, 1938, the son of Earl and Catharine (Thesken) Schneider. Tom grew up in North College Hill, attending St. Margaret Mary grade school and graduating from Roger Bacon High School in 1956.  He spent much time in his youth as a golf caddy at Clovernook Country Club.  Tom earned his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at The University of Cincinnati while also being in their ROTC program and playing trombone in the UC Band.  After graduating, Tom served two years in the US Army and later earned his MBA at Xavier University.  He worked much of his life at Formica and retired from Jacobs Engineering in 2008.  Tom enjoyed stamp collecting, his prize garden, and several trips to the Holy Land.  On December 30, 1961, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Tom married the love of his life, Gertrude N. Bulach (Trudy).  Their marriage of over 61 years produced six children, nineteen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.  Tom and Trudy loved and lived their Catholic faith, attending daily mass as long as they were able at Corpus Christi Church and Sacred Heart Church. They were tireless advocates for unborn children, dedicating most Saturday mornings to prayer for their protection. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Schneider; his six children, Tom (Karen) Schneider, Eric (Theresa) Schneider, Jennifer (Dave) Pierce, Victor (Mandy) Schneider, Stephen (Kristen) Schneider, and Maria (Rob) Harris; nineteen grandchildren: Bryan, Carmen, Zachary, Brittany, Colton, Maria, Anna, Catherine, Joseph, Amanda, Erin, Sarah, Janie, Victoria, Annabelle, Stella, Grace, Paige, Reese;  three great grandchildren: Jett, Greyson, Lola; Sister, Kathleen (Charles) Amand.Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia (Ralph, living) Zurbrugg. Prayers will be offered at 10:30am Monday, June 5, 2023, in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton, Ohio 45015, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am Monday in Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Rd. Fairfield, Ohio 45014. Father Larry Tharp will be celebrant. Visitation will be from 8:30-10:30am Monday, June 5, 2023, in the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park.
