SIMMS, Thomas C. age 90 of Hamilton passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at his home. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 15, 1928, the son of Godfrey and Joan (Clemmons) Simms and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. On May 11, 1963, in Fairfield, Ohio he married Lois A. King. Mr. Simms was owner and operator of Simms Brothers Garden Center for 16 years, and had worked for the Department of Transportation. Tom was a longtime member of the Hamilton Boat Club.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; three children, Karen Blount of Hamilton, John Simms of Greenwood, Indiana, and Thomas C. Simms II of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Ogalie (Clifford) Pace.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Pastor Bill Haley officiating followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm Thursday in the funeral home. Online register book is available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
