Obituary

Stanley, Thomas Luther, age 64 of Trenton passed away April 5, 2009 in Hamilton at the home of his sister, Judy Wyckoff. He was born in Hamilton November 24, 1944, the son of Carl T. and Ellen E (Triick) Stanley.
Mr. Stanley graduated from New Miami High School in 1964 and attended Miami University. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Germany in 1968 and 1969, where he was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for outstanding performance of his duties as a Military Policeman, Mechanic and Company Taers Clerk. He worked as a pattern maker for many years with Buckeye Pattern Works, Fisher Body, and Reliable Castings. During the seventies he owned his own shop, Progressive Patterns Products, and retired in 2000 from Dayton Pattern Inc. Mr. Stanley was an avid sportsman enjoying boating, fishing and shooting, and was a member of the Middletown Sportsmen's Club.
He is survived by his wife Judy; his three children, Susan (Brian) Hagan, Christine (Kevin Haggard) Stanley, and Jeffrey (Amber) Stanley; two step-children, Erik Caldwell and Allison (Bill) Hatter ; nine grandchildren, Joshua Stanley, Tallan Haggard, Kayla Haggard, Jacob Hagan, Anna Hagan, Alex Caldwell, and Gabriel, Tristan, and Julie Hatter; and two sisters, Kathy (Thomas) Peck and Judith (Butch Royse) Wyckoff. He was preceded in death by his wife Trudy (Ashford) Stanley, his parents, and a brother, Kenneth Stanley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday in the Proeschel-Crawford –Zettler Funeral Home, 547 Main Street, Hamilton, with Rev. Daniel Snider of Salem Lutheran Church of West Alexandria officiating, followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
