REED, Timothy W. age 57 of Hamilton passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 4, 1961, the son of Ivery and Willa (Phelps) Reed. Tim was a 1979 graduate of Taft High School and a 1984 graduate of Belmont College. On November 29, 1980, in Oxford, Ohio he married Diane Mainous. He worked as a teacher and coach for 32 years in the Hamilton City Public School System. Most recently, Tim was employed by the Talawanda School District and served as Varsity Boys Baseball Coach. He was a member of the Monkey Mutual Aid Society, and was inducted into the Hamilton Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.

Survivors include his wife, Diane; his mother, Willa Burns of Hamilton; three children, Allison (Jason) Haines of Chandler, Arizona, Shannon Reed of Dover, Delaware, and James "Jimmy Joe" Reed of Hamilton; one granddaughter, Evalynn Mae Haines; a sister, Lin (Brian) Frazier; a brother, Wes (Karen) Reed; mother-in-law, Barb Mainous; three sisters-in-law, Becky (Gary) Fraley, Cathy (Todd) Chilton, and Annette (Sam) Peters; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ivery; father-in-law, Jack Mainous; step-father, Don Burns.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm on Friday at the Laurel Ave. Church of Christ (1049 Laurel Ave. Hamilton, Ohio 45015) with Pastor Charles Anderson officiating followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8:00pm Thursday at Garfield Middle School (250 North Fair Ave. Hamilton, Ohio 45011).
