STUBBLEFIELD, Tom age 91 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away Saturday October 13, 2018. He was born in London, Kentucky on November 18, 1926, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.  Tom was employed by Champion International for 32 years retiring in 1990.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a life member of the American Legion Post 0138, VFW Post 1069, and the Monkey Mutual Aid Society, the Northern Kentucky Model T Club, the Ohio Valley Region Model A Ford Club, and was a Kentucky Colonel.

Tom was truly one of the good guys.  He was a terrific husband, dad, father-in-law, and grandpa.  He loved tinkering around with his antique cars or anything he thought needed to be "fixed" or oiled.  Tom quipped that he "cut his teeth in a Model T."  He lived for spending time with his grandkids and enjoyed being outside as much as possible.  He and his wife, Carol, introduced friends and family to his love of Kentucky through great times at their cabin on Lake Cumberland.  He never met a stranger and was sometimes generous to a fault.  Tom was the king of jokes and witty comebacks, and left a smile wherever he went. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Caroline; four children, Jeffrey (Connie) Turner of Fairfield, Ohio, Beth Anne Van Rhee (Gary Victor) of Hiram, Georgia, Tommy Stubblefield of Richmond Indiana, and Marlene Jennings of London Kentucky.  Five grandchildren, Jacob (Leah) Van Rhee, Whitney Van Rhee, Kelsey Van Rhee, Christopher Turner, and Zachary Turner.  Two great-children Carson Van Rhee and Chloe Van Rhee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Sue Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Deacon Michael Mignery officiating followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
