Obituary

CLAY, Vera K., age 85 of Hamilton, died Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Berkley Square. She was born in Preble County, Ohio on November 25, 1921, the daughter of Roy and Nona (Elkins) Webb and was 1939 graduate of Stewart High School in Oxford, Ohio. On September 6, 1945, in Millville, Ohio, she married Edgar Clay and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1994. Mrs. Clay had worked in finance at General Electric, for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Park Ave. United Methodist Church. Vera was active in the GE retiree's organization, GE women's golf league, ABWA, the Ladies Circle at church, the Butler County Art Association, and enjoyed going out to eat and playing dominos with her friends.

She is survived by her sister, Maxine Howard, of Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Lloyd, Ralph, Kenneth, and Donald; a sister, Mildred Boger.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. John Eshelman officiating, followed by entombment in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6-8:00PM Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or another charity of choice. www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
