TAGGART, Violet L. (Pike), age 73 of Trenton, OH, passed away Monday,
December 17, 2007 at Hospice of Hamilton, following a courageous
battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Fred and Virginia (Carr)
Pike who preceded her in death. She was a loving and caring daughter,
wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She is
survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Franklin Taggart
of Trenton, OH. She will be greatly missed by her four children: Ken (Phyl)
Taggart of Aiken, South Carolina, Jan (Rob) Doan of College Corner, Ohio, Carol
(Randy) Collins of Hamilton, Ohio and Kim (Russell) Davidson of Trenton, Ohio. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren: Melissa (Josh) Evans, Matthew (Susan) Collins, Ben Taggart, Jessica Taggart, Suzanne (Matt) Schuster, Laura Collins, Emily Halcomb, Josh McCall, Eric Doan and Mike Santiago and seven great-grandchildren. They will be lost without her caring smile and her loving and forgiving nature. She also leaves behind three sisters: Shirley (Doyle) Browning of Trenton, Ohio, Jeannie (Clarence) Taggart of Germantown, Ohio and Judy Jarrett of Hamilton, Ohio along with many in-laws, friends and loving nieces and nephews who will miss their "Aunt Wally" as she was affectionately known. This holiday season and all those to come will be in her memory. She will be missed and not forgotten. May she be at rest and with the Lord.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30am Thursday in the Proeschel-Crawford-Zettler Funeral Home, 547 Main st. with Rev. Jason Bantz officiating followed by burial in Hickory Flats Cemetery in St. Clair Township, Hamilton, Ohio. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30am Thursday in the funeral home.
