CARTER, Virginia age 90 of Hamilton passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Bradford Place. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 21, 1925 the daughter of Paul and Catherine (Meder) Schuler and was a 1943 graduate of Hamilton High School. On February 19, 1966 in St. Ann Church she married Keith G. Carter and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2002. Virginia was a Head Nurse at Mercy Hospital of Hamilton Operating Room, for seventeen years, retiring in 1967. She later worked as a cake decorator making special occasion cakes until 1987. A member of St. Peter church and the Altar Rosary Society she also was a member of the Governor Bebb Pioneer Group and did various volunteer work.

Survivors include her son Christopher P. Carter; a sister, Eileen and her husband John Straub; a niece, Mary (Straub) Soloway and her husband Ted; husband of the late Karen Jester, Jim Jester; seven great nephews, Matt Soloway, Andy, Tom, Robbie and Ryan Jester, Jeff and Scott Marchant; a great niece, Sarah(Marchant) Orr.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Paul F. Schuler; two nieces, Karen Jester and Kathy Marchant.

Prayers will be offered at 10:00am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am Monday in St. Ann Church. Visitation will be from 9-10:00am Monday in the funeral home. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
