JOSKEM, Virginia J. age 87 of Hamilton passed away Thursday September 15, 2016 at Trihealth Bethesda Butler Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 6, 1929 the daughter of Walter and Mabel (Spitzfaden) Rice. Virginia worked for Ohio Casualty for 40 years retiring in 1992. She was a lifelong member of the Disciples Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter, Gloria (Terry) Bloomer; three grandchildren, Angel Shanholtzer, Wendell (Carla) Jones, and Matt (Joscie) Bloomer; seven great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Rice and Carol Watson; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Clifford Joskem, she was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Gretchen Grace Bloomer.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday in Greenwood Cemetery, 1602 Greenwood Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disciples Christian or charity of choice.
