JOHNSON, Wayne Albert, age 49, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 in the Veterans Medical Center, Cincinnati, due to heart failure. Wayne was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 22, 1957, the son of Paul and Joyce (Frick) Johnson. He attended Hamilton City Schools, graduating from Taft High School in 1975, and was active in band and music programs while there. Wayne served in the Marine Corp from 1976-1979, and was a life member of the AMVETS Post # 1983. Wayne loved animals and left behind his three beloved cats.
Survivors include his parents, Joyce and Paul Johnson; two brothers, Bradford (Linda Anderson) Johnson, and Raymond (Diane) Johnson; Nephews, Stephen and Brian Johnson, all of Hamilton; an uncle, Kendall (Irma) Johnson, of Florida; an aunt, Imogene (Paul) Hershner, of Columbus, OH; a special cousin, Margie Shelley, of West Chester; and many other cousins; relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ella Johnson, and Albert and Velma Frick; three uncles, Oscar, Si, and Palmer Johnson; aunts, Ruth Shelley, and Dorothy Mayer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday in the Proeschel-Crawford-Zettler Funeral Home, 547 Main St., with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating, followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.
