William A. Aguiluz, age 84, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Comayagua, Honduras, on March 12, 1940, to Amado M. and Maura (Ferrari) Aguiluz. William immigrated to the United States as a young man, embracing the opportunities and challenges of building a new life. Through hard work and determination, he became a U.S. citizen, a milestone that filled him with immense pride. On January 20, 1968, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he married Janice L. Peck, daughter of Robert and Josephine Peck.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, William dedicated his professional career to serving as a Comptroller in the corporate hotel industry for 30 years. He was a devoted member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Hamilton, Ohio, where his faith and values guided his life and relationships.
William's deep love for music, hiking, and exploring nature's beauty brought him great joy. His loyal dog, Sadie, was a treasured companion.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Amado M. and Maura, and his brother, Dennis T. Aguiluz. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Janice; his three children, Lisa Bateman, Julie Ayers, and William "Randy" Aguiluz; his siblings, M. Myrna Aguiluz, twin sister Ligia Aguiluz, and brother Amado I. Aguiluz.
William was a cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren: Brittany (Lucas) Hawkins, Brandon Bateman, Amanda (Lilly) Jensen, Zachary and Joshua Ayers, and Elena, Ethan, and Evan Aguiluz. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Adah, Clara, and Oliver Hawkins, and Benjamin, Spencer, and Owen Bateman.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate William's life of dedication, kindness, humility, and love at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2024, at St. Ann Church, located at 3000 Pleasant Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, 45015. www.zettlerfuneralhome.com.
