BARNHORN, William E. "Barney" age 80 of Hamilton died Friday, January 1, 2010 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 5, 1929, the son of Elmer and Loretta (Kilfoyle) Barnhorn, and was a 1947 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. William served in the United States Army during the Korean War . On April 19, 1958, in St. Veronica Church he married Charlene Goertemiller. Mr. Barnhorn worked in market research, for A.C. Nielsen Co. for thirty-nine years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Julie Billart Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene; a son, Paul (Mary Ann) Barnhorn of Cincinnati; a sister, Marilyn Flum of Hamilton; two brother-in-laws, William (Marie) Goertemiller, Robert (Rosalie) Goertemiller; a sister-in-law, Bernadine Goertemiller.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Donald Goertemiller.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Wednesday in St. Julie Billart Church. Visitation will be from 5:00- 7:00pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Entombment will be in St. Stephen Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to St. Julie Billiart Parish.
