BENNETT, William E. age 82 of Hamilton passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at 9:50pm in Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Morgan Township, Ohio on September 22, 1930, the son of Lawrence Ralph and Margaret Elizabeth (Drew) Bennett. On January 30, 1952, at St. Ann Church, he married Alberta M. Rust. Bill served in the US Army from February 2, 1952 until June 16, 1960. He was very proud of serving his Country and earning the CI Badge, UN Service Medal, IBZ Service Star and the Korean Service Medal. Bill was a repair plumber for Laming & Rogers, for thirty-two years. All who knew him liked his sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Alberta " Birdie" Bennett; four daughters, Linda (Joe) Russo, Sharon (Ken) Hardin, Karen (John) Turner and Beverly Scheffel; three sons, Thom (Lynn) Bennett, Dave and Daniel Bennett; eleven grandchildren, Joe (Mekka) Russo, Sandy Russo, John Turner, Tiffany Bennett, Ricci(Michael) Bailey, Lyndsey Turner, Abby Hardin, Kaylin Oldfield, Ashley, Chelsie and Danielle Bennett; six great-grandchildren, Kyla Evans, Cameran and Clay Hardin, Nico Russo, Joey and Mia Bailey (twins).

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Carl Bennett; two sisters, Dorothy Sutton and Patty Foley.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the Mercy Hospital Fairfield third floor ICU Unit for the care they gave Bill and Hospice of Hamilton for his six hour stay at their facility. Thanks also to Doctors Simcoe and Keys.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30 am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Ann Church with Fr. Larry Tharp Celebrant. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park with military honors at graveside. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home.
