COMBS, William L., age 59 of Hamilton, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2006 at his home. He was born in Middletown, OH on Sept. 7, 1946, the son of Charles and Eleanor (Collins) Combs. A 1964 graduate of Jefferson High School in New Paris, OH, he served in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War. A welder at A.K. Steel, for thirty years, he retired in 1996, and later was owner and operator of the Boat and R.V. storage, in Overpeck, OH. Mr. Combs was a member of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, Lincoln Lodge, Middletown, OH.

Survivors include his two sons, Joe and Bill Combs; and his wife Brenda, all of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Daniel and Rachel Combs; a brother, Joe Combs; two sisters, Mary Sue Ray, and Janet Smith; two special cousins, Barb Frey, and Mary Beard.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Combs.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating, followed by burial in Butler Co. Memorial Park.
