Obituary

de la Vega, William Anthony, age 65, of West Chester, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2006 in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born in Havana, Cuba on August 13, 1940. In 1958, Bill was awarded a scholarship from Armco Steel International to attend the College of Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. In July 1969, he became a citizen of The United States of America. He went on, with two business partners, to form a successful Construction firm. In 1984, he also received his MBA from Xavier University. In 2000, he retired from Coca Cola Enterprises, Atlanta, as Director of Construction Services.

Survivors include his wife Marcy; four children, Nancy and Mike Shular, Deborah and Rocky Tekulve, Bill de la Vega Jr. and Ken de la Vega. He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren, Maria, Andrea, Lauren, and Michael Shular, Will and Rory Tekulve; beloved brother, Mario de la Vega; nephews, Tony and Brian de la Vega; niece, Michelle de la Vega; as well as many friends. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Prayers will be offered at 10:30 AM Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM Saturday in Sacred Heart Church, Fairfield, OH. Friends may call from 6-8:00PM Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Garden. Memorials are suggested to the Redwood School, 71 Orpanage Rd, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
