Obituary

HOFFMAN, William L., age 84, of Hamilton, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in Hospice of Hamilton/Sunrise Assisted Living. He was born in Hamilton on December 26, 1921, the son of William J. and Pauline (Beer) Hoffman and was a 1940 graduate of Seven Mile High School. Mr. Hoffman served in the US Army Air Corps, during WWII, with the 19th Repair Squadron of the 19th Air Depot of the 9th Air Force, from 1942-1945, serving in France, Italy, Germany, and Africa. In 1946, he married Betty R. Preckett and she preceded him in death in 1997. He married Nancy Frost in 1998. A mechanic, he worked for Pillsbury, for thirty-one years, and later worked for Hamilton Die Cast, for ten years, retiring in 1991. He owned and operated Bill Hoffman's Garage for over twenty-five years. Mr. Hoffman was a member of the V.F.W. # 7670.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; three sons, Bernie E. Hoffman, Hamilton, Rick (Susan) Hoffman, Fairfield, and David M.(Terry) Hoffman, Houston, TX; two stepsons, Jason (Cheryl) Frost, Florence, KY, and Thomas (Brandy) Frost, Hendersonville, N.C.; nine grandchildren, John Hoffman, Capt. Elizabeth Loman, Charity Smallwood, Jennifer Moser, Mindy Bell, Stephen, Nathan, Amn. Michael, and Emily Hoffman; six step grandchildren, Bradley, Ashley, Alexis, Austin, Sydney, and Madison Frost; ten great grandchildren, Tyler and Alexis Smallwood, Ruby and John Clayton Loman, Laura and Tracy Newport, Connor and Trevor Bell, Chase and Sydney Moser; four great great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Marcia, from Hospice of Blue Ash.
Besides his parents and his first wife; he was also preceded in death by a brother Donald in 1977.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Dennis Dettenwanger officiating. Entombment will be in Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5-7:00PM Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army or Hospice of Hamilton.
