William Allen "Bill" Parker age 72, of Hamilton, OH passed away on October 13, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Greensboro, NC the son of Allen Julian Parker and Sue Speed Parker. William married Brooke Erwood on November 26, 2005.

Bill was an avid sports fan, born a NC Tarheel and remained a devoted fan throughout his life. He also followed the Bengals and Ohio State.  Bill frequented Rick's Tavern in Fairfield, OH where he gathered with friends and watched the games on TV. According to one staff member "he was family".  Bill enjoyed playing golf, and when he wasn't playing golf on Saturdays, he would bore his daughters with golf on TV.  Bill was the master of Dad Jokes, and would intentionally embarrass his girls at any given opportunity.  While raising his girls, he rarely missed any ceremony, graduation or sporting event they were involved in; often times sitting in the bleachers waving his closed umbrella above his head to get his daughters' attention. They never had any doubt as to whether or not he was there.  Bill lit up a room when he walked in; always smiling, telling jokes and sharing amusing stories.  Being a grandfather brought him immense joy.  Bill was a kind, caring, loving, funny and generous character.

Bill is survived by his wife, Brooke Parker; daughter, Joanne "Jodie" Parker Garrison and husband Greg of Riverview, FL; Carolyn Kamberlane of Morganton, NC and Kelley Lane of Carrboro,  NC; grandchildren, Alyssa Lail, Fletcher Allen Smith, Chevy Winters and Reese Winters, Julian Kamberlane, Alexander Kamberlane, and Amelia Kamberlane, Abbey Lane and Zoe Lane; sisters, Suzanne "Anne" Parker of Greensboro, NC, and Julia Ewen of Atlanta, GA; and cousins, Scott Parker of The Villages, FL, Betty Dickey of Charlotte, NC, Jim Foscue of  High Point, NC, Tom Foscue, Jim Parker of Jacksonville, FL, Ken Parker of Jacksonville FL and Gary Parker of Jacksonville FL, Jane "Jicki" Carter of Nashville, TN, John Tomlinson of Greensboro, NC and Sally Merrell of Raleigh, NC.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jill Williams Parker;

granddaughter, Olivia Grace "Gracie" Winters; and cousin, Allen Tomlinson.

Bill will be cremated and will rest in the columbarium at High Point Friends Meeting, where the family will hold a private memorial.
