RACE, William L. age 82 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 03, 2015, at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 7, 1933, the son of Chesley and Pauline (Strunk) Race and was a veteran of the United States Army. On May 6, 1961, in St. Margaret Mary Church he married Louise M. Picariello. William worked as a general manager-operations for River Transportation Company.

Survivors include his wife, Louise; four children, Matt Race, Julie (Todd) Bohl, Jared (Stacey) Race, and Jason (Beth) Race; six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Prayers will be offered at 10:30AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015, in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM Wednesday at St. Julie Billiart Church with Fr. Michael Pucke celebrant. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Old German Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
