SPILLANE, William Harrison, Jr.
Bill Spillane, a former resident of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Lakeridge Villa in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born on October 12, 1941 in Grand Rapids Michigan, the son of William H. and Mildred (Spees) Spillane. He graduated from Pelston High School in the state of Michigan in 1959. After his graduation he served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1963, serving upon the USS Kittyhawk in Vietnam. Bill was a member of the VFW. After leaving the Navy, he attended Coyne Electronics Institute in Chicago, Illinois and Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, Bill was the Manager of the National Repair Center of the Mosler Safe Company in Hamilton, Ohio from 1967 until 1982. Bill was also the owner of The Hamilton Answering Service from 1980 until his retirement in 2004. Throughout his life, he took great pleasure in fishing and boating.
Bill married Mary Ellen Conradt in 1994. The couple had resided in Crystal River, Florida since 2003. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen, his daughter Shelley Spillane of Hamilton, Ohio, his son William Harrison Spillane III and his daughter-in-law, Shara Spillane, also of Hamilton, his stepson Matthew Conradt of Hebron, Kentucky and two grandchildren, Mario Spillane DiBenedetto and Cody Ronald Spillane. He is also survived by his brother Robert Spillane who lives in Kenai, Alaska.
