WELSH William Joseph, Age 81 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away Monday July 17, 2006 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital at 11:06 PM. He was born on February 24, 1925 in Newport, Kentucky, the son of Thomas Welsh and Anne Ryan Welsh. During WW II he served in the United States Army where he earned a Bronze Star in the European Theater as a Staff Sergeant and was discharged on July 2, 1946. He graduated from Salmon P. Chase College with a B.S. degree in commerce in 1953, and worked from and retired from Mosler Safe Co. as their Comptroller in 1990. He is survived by one son Patrick J. (Marilynn) Welsh and one daughter Eileen M. (Stephen) Sullivan both of Dayton, Ohio and survived by 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, Caitlin and Kevin Welsh, Meghan (Barry) Kent and Andrea Collins and one great grandchild, Christian Collins all of Dayton, Ohio one sister, Anne Groh, Sister in Law, Marie Welsh, Brother in Law, Wally Barker and a dear close friend, Carol Sloneker. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary "Bernie" Welsh nee Imholte. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Church, 382 Liberty Ave. Hamilton at 11 AM on Friday July 21st where friends may call from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Interment will take place in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery, Delhi Hills. Mr. Welsh was a member of Father Butler Council K of C and Treasurer of the Butler County Historical Society.
