WILCOX, William R. age 85 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away on June 27, 2010 at the Georgetown Ohio Veteran's Home. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on August 30, 1924, the son of Ralph and Anna (Garies) Wilcox. On September 8, 1945, he married Dorothy Dunaway. He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years. Three children were born from this marriage. His daughter, Sheryl Allen (Phil Hensley) and their children- Duane (Melissa) McWhorter, Phil (Katsuko) Hensley Jr., Mandy (Jeff) Long, and Kris Allen. A son- Gary (Donna Allen) Wilcox and their children- Jennifer, Terra, Renee, and Nicole Wilcox. A deceased son- Rick Wilcox and his children- Rickey Jr., Sherry, and Randy Wilcox. He also leaves two nephews, Billy and Charles Ray, along with great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Rick; four siblings, Hilma, Carl, Howard, and Mary Wilcox.

William served in WWII and retired from McLean trucking in 1986. He also worked as a bundle hauler for the Journal News.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by burial in Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-1:30 pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
