Taggart, Michael Blane age 67 of Trenton passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 1, 1958, the son of Gordon Jr. and Laverne (Baker) Taggart. He was a 1976 graduate of Talawanda High School. On April 7, 1993, he married the love of his life, Jacqueline Ann Mick and she preceded him in death on March 4, 2019. Michael served as a respected Corrections Lieutenant with Lebanon Correctional Institution and after many years of dedicated service he retired in 2019. Michael was an avid dog lover. He had a deep and meaningful connection to all dogs. He was most happy with one right by his side. His most recent pups, Charlie and Betsey will miss him dearly. Michael was also a true Harley Davidson enthusiast, finding freedom on the open road.

Survivors include his children, Nicki (Greg) Carroll of Trenton, Catherine (Christopher) Stringer of Indianapolis, John Anthony (Jamie) Mick of Fairfield and Erik Taggart of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Tyler Keen, Madeline (Daniel) Brookbank, Abigail, Isabella, Carson Stringer, Marguerite and Averly Mick; and one great-grandchild, Adeline Brookbank. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Tuesday December 16, 2025, in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by burial at the Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am-12noon Tuesday, prior to the service, in the funeral home.
