William "Bill" A. Richards age 75 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away Sunday November 16,
2025. He was born on July 8, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio the son of William M. and
Catherine (Schellhaas) Richards. On July 1, 1989, in Sacred Heart Church, Fairfield,
Ohio he married Jill A. Wirtz. Bill was a US Postal Worker, retiring in 2015 after 42 years
of service.
Survivors include his wife, Jill A. Richards; 4 children, Ryan (Kelsey) Richards, Adam,
Maria, and Eric Richards; a brother, Steve (Sue) Richards; aunt, Nancy Burkhart; a
niece, Katie Richards; 2 nephews, Dustin and Michael Richards; several great nieces
and nephews; mother-in-law, Patricia Wirtz; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Jerry Wirtz
Bill was a lifelong lover of golf, and even in his later years you could find him at the
driving range. His enthusiasm for the game became a gift he passed on to his children,
inspiring them to take up the sport he cherished.
Above all, Bill embraced the simple joys that make life rich: good food, shared laughter,
and most importantly the love of his family. These were the things he treasured most,
and the things he leaves behind in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00am Tuesday 11/25/2025 at St. John
Neumann Church 12191 Mill Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45240, with Fr. Don West celebrant.
The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Monday 11/24/2025 in the Zettler Funeral
