Dolores Ann Wade, age 97 of Fairfield, OH passed away peacefully on Wed., April 15th, 2026, at Hospice of Hamilton.

She was born on September 15th, 1928, to her parents Stephen and Marie (Ehle) Bruner. On October 6th, 1965, she married Donald E. Wade, who preceded her in death on September 4th, 2021.

Dolores graduated from Notre Dame High School (now consolidated into Badin High School) and earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati.

As an RN, she worked first at Good Samaritan Hospital as a head nurse and nurse instructor. She later retired from the City of Cincinnati after her career as a public health nurse and head nurse at several Cincinnati clinics.

Dolores was always active in the church, volunteering at St. Catherine's and working in their office, as well as volunteering at LaSalle High School's bingo nights. She attended daily mass at Sacred Heart Church in Fairfield until the last months of her life and watched daily mass on EWTN until her final days. Dolores enjoyed painting, pottery, reading, taking walks, and loved all her dogs. She also liked to keep up with world events and watched the Lawrence Welk Show on weekends.

Her family remembers her fondly and will miss her deeply.

Other than her husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Francis (Donald) Hoffman; her brothers Robert (Jeanne) and John (Lois) Bruner; her sister-in-law, Jeanine (Hester) Bruner; her son, Eric Wade; and her grandson, Benjamin "Ben" Wade.

She is survived by her brother, Stephen Bruner; sons Thomas (Stephanie) and Mark Wade; her granddaughter, Rebecca Wade; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Wed., April 22nd, 2026, in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Hamilto, OH 45015, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Wed. in Sacred Heart Church 400 Nilles Rd. Fairfield, OH 45014. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30pm Tues., April 21st, 2026, in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
