About Us

Founding of Zettler Funeral Home

The Zettler Funeral Home was founded and began operation on June 21, 1951 by James R. Zettler and wife Marian (Brandhoff) Zettler.

Early Years

From the beginning, James R. Zettler offered compassionate and professional care to the families he served. In many ways it was a family business, with his wife and eight children, who lived in their residence above the funeral home, lending help when needed

Growth of Facilities

Throughout the seventy-two years of service, the Zettler Funeral Home has enlarged the facilities two times to better serve families. The first addition in 1978 (1600 sq. ft. on two floors), provided room for two visitations at the same time as well as a new lounge and restrooms. In 1989, a handicap access ramp and accessible restroom was added to assist those with physical limitations. The second addition in 1997 (2400 sq. ft. on two floors), provided a new spacious visitation room and lounge.

Second Generation of Service

In 1981, after graduation from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, Thomas G. Zettler joined the firm as a full time employee of Zettler Funeral Home. Tom became managing director of the funeral home in 1987. Tom and his associate director and staff continue to provide families with caring professional funeral services.

Our Continued Goal

It is our continued goal to provide a meaningful funeral or memorial tribute for those we serve. We strive to provide an affordable service in a comfortable homelike setting. As it was in 1951, it still is today.
